Jan 18th 2022: Walmart has announced after nearly ten years the Walmart Neighborhood Market in Garden Grove will close in March. The company said the store was underperforming and, all employees will be able to transfer to other Walmart stores or Walmart Neighborhood Markets.
The store at 10912 Katella Ave in Garden Grove has approximately 114 employees at this location and the company said the closing is not a reflection on them.
The official closing date has been announced as March 25th with clearance sales set to begin in the coming weeks for all non perishable items. The perishable items will be donated to local charities and relief organizations.
I have used this location which is actually really close to Disneyland within two miles but its also within three miles of existing full size Walmart locations.
