New Years Eve - OC Insider Now

This New Years Eve the Orange County Transportation Authority is as usual providing free rides on OC Bus after 6 pm on New Years Eve. This promotion was skipped last year because of pandemic concerns, is back giving people another option to safely get around Orange County instead of drinking and driving. If you want to use the free bus service it starts at 6 pm on New Years Eve and runs through 2:30 am on New Years Day. If you board the bus before 6 pm you will be required to pay the regular $2 per ride fare after 6 pm the drivers cover the fareboxes. Thank you to the OCTA as well as all the coach operators working New Years Eve to help people celebrate safely. The free rides program has be in operation for nearly 20 years and the OCTA has reported over 162,000 boarding's since the program started in 2002.
